Allgemein

What can I order from LAROMAT?

Venetian blinds, roller shutters, awnings, fabrics and spare parts for various sun-protection systems. Many complete systems can be configured to measure directly online.

Does LAROMAT sell to private customers as well?

Yes. The range is explicitly aimed at private customers too. No technical knowledge is required.

Do I need to know which manufacturer made my blinds?

No. Send us photos of the installation and the part you need — the system can often be identified by its construction. We'll help with identification.

Which manufacturers and brands does LAROMAT offer?

Products and components from various established manufacturers, including Griesser, Somfy, Selve, Stoma and Regazzi.

Can I get advice before placing an order?

Yes. For questions about products, measurements, finishes or spare parts, contact us before ordering.

Ersatzteile

How do I find the right spare part?

First search by the type of installation, then compare the existing part with the product images and details in the shop. If unsure, send photos.

I can't find my spare part in the shop.

Send us a photo of the part you're looking for and, if possible, of the whole installation. We'll check whether we can identify and source it.

Can I simply send a photo of my defective part?

Yes. Photograph it from several angles; a photo of the whole blind, shutter or awning also helps.

What information does LAROMAT need to identify a spare part?

Photos, the manufacturer, the approximate age of the installation, any existing article numbers, and the relevant dimensions of the part.

Are older spare parts still available?

It depends on the manufacturer and age. We check whether the original part is still available or whether a successor product exists.

Can a new spare part look different from my old one?

Yes. Manufacturers change their products; a successor product may look different visually while still fitting correctly.

How do I know if a spare part really fits?

Compare the article number, dimensions, construction and manufacturer details. If unsure, send photos and measurements before ordering.

Does LAROMAT guarantee that a part identified by photo will fit?

Identification by photo is a helpful aid, not a guarantee. Additional measurements, manufacturer details or further photos may be needed for a reliable match.

Massaufnahme

Where can I find the measuring guide?

For configurable products, directly on the product page or in the configurator.

What should I do if I'm unsure while measuring?

Don't order on a guess. Send photos of the installation situation and the measurements you've taken first.

Do I need to measure to the exact millimetre?

Yes, precise measurements are important for made-to-measure products. Use a suitable tape measure or ruler and follow the measuring guide.

How do I measure a venetian blind?

Measure the width of the reveal at three points and use the smallest value. Clear height: from the windowsill or the guide rail's bearing surface to the underside of the lintel. Overall height: all the way up into the lintel. Deductions apply depending on the system — always use the product-specific measuring guide.

How do I measure a roller shutter?

It depends on the installation type (recessed in the reveal, mounted in front of the reveal, or an existing structure). Measure the width, overall height, installation situation, space available for the box, the position and type of guide rails, and the operating side. For an existing installation, also send photos.

How do I measure an awning?

The available mounting width, the desired awning width, the desired projection, mounting height, space for brackets and fixings, and any obstacles (windows, roof overhangs, downpipes, railings). For an existing awning, use its measurements.

How do I measure a replacement fabric for an awning?

Don't just measure the visible area. You need the fabric width, projection, the length of the existing fabric, the attachment to the roller tube and the front profile, the piping diameter, and the awning model if known. If unsure, send photos of the awning and the fabric attachment.

How do I measure an awning valance?

The width and height of the existing valance, plus a photo of the attachment to the front profile. The type of attachment or piping is also important.

How do I measure a replacement motor?

Length alone isn't enough. You need the manufacturer, type designation, torque, voltage, shaft system or shaft size, drive type, and control method (switch or radio). The easiest way is to send a photo of the nameplate.

How do I measure a gearbox?

The manufacturer, existing article number, dimensions, connection or square drive, gear ratio if known, operating side, and photos from several angles (installed and, if possible, removed).

How do I measure a crank handle?

The length from the wall bushing to the bottom edge of the crank. The connection, joint and diameter may also be relevant. If unsure, send a photo of the crank and the bushing.

How do I measure guide rails?

The total length of the existing rail, plus its cross-section (width and depth), and photos from the front and of the cross-section.

How do I measure individual spare parts?

It depends on the part — the product page states which measurements are needed. Don't measure approximately: a few millimetres can be decisive. If unsure, send a photo with a tape measure or ruler visible in it.

What if I don't know where to measure?

The relevant products come with an illustrated measuring guide or a short video. If anything is still unclear, send a photo of the installation — we'll show you which measurements we need.

Can LAROMAT check my measurements before I order?

Yes. Send your measurements together with photos of the installation; we'll check them for plausibility and flag anything unusual. Responsibility for measurements taken on site lies with the customer.

What happens if I measure incorrectly?

Made-to-measure products are manufactured to your specifications and generally cannot be returned. Better to measure one extra time — if unsure, contact us before ordering.

What tools do I need for measuring?

A reliable tape measure, a pen for notes, a smartphone for photos, and a ladder if needed. Measure in millimetres and note down every measurement immediately.

Millimetres or centimetres?

In principle, millimetres (mm). Example: width 1,245 mm, height 1,780 mm.

Can I order directly online?

Yes. In-stock items directly; for configurable or project-specific products, depending on the product, either an order or a project enquiry.

Once released for production, generally no longer, or only at a cost.

Lieferung

Does LAROMAT deliver throughout Switzerland?

Yes, throughout Switzerland in principle. The shipping method depends on the size, weight and type of goods.

What does shipping cost?

Delivery of configured systems (venetian blinds, roller shutters, awnings): CHF 92.– incl. VAT per system. Shipping of spare parts: CHF 13.– incl. VAT per order; this flat fee also applies when a system is delivered at the same time. Pickup at our premises at Ruchstuckstrasse 6, 8306 Brüttisellen, is free of charge. The shipping costs for your order are shown in the cart and at checkout before purchase. We deliver within Switzerland.

Can I return an item?

Swiss online retail does not provide a general statutory right of withdrawal or return. For unused, unaltered, standard in-stock items still in their original packaging, LAROMAT may approve a return as a goodwill gesture — this always requires prior written consent; return shipping costs and transport risk are borne by the customer. Made-to-measure or special-order items, cut-to-size items and configured articles are specifically excluded. If goods are defective or wrongly delivered, warranty rights apply in full — please contact us immediately in that case. Details in clause 9 of the T&Cs.

How long does delivery take?

In-stock items are generally faster. For made-to-measure products, it depends on the product, manufacturer and production workload; the estimated delivery time is stated or confirmed per product.

How are large blinds or awnings delivered?

Large or bulky products are delivered by freight carrier. Delivery details are communicated according to the product and order.
